If you ask East Lake UMC members what made them fall in love with our church, many of them would respond with one word: FAMILY.
At East Lake UMC, we love to worship, study, give, and serve – and we love to do it all together. We live life hand-in-hand with one another in deep grief journeys, exciting times of celebration, and everything in between.
These bonds don’t cease to exist outside of church walls either. Within our building, we share space with many different people, non-profit organizations, and businesses. This is one exciting way of loving and supporting our community partners. And even outside of our building, we stay visible and active in our neighborhood and the Greater Birmingham area. Our church is the heartbeat of the East Lake community as we serve and include members and non-members (and people who may not have a church connection at all) alike.
