Investing Funds

Are you looking to be a part of a wonderful group that benefits the community? Look no further! There are many different meaningful ways for you to financially invest in our ministries at East Lake UMC today.

Ways to Give

  • Online CLICK HERE to give via our e-giving platform, Vanco
    • Accepts debit/credit card and ACH/bank transfers (Please note that ACH/bank transfers will take several days to process.)
    • Options for one-time and recurring giving, as well as scheduling for future payments
    • Please set up a Vanco account as you give! It is free and quick to set up. It will make future transactions easier on you with saved payment information (Vanco is secure and PCI compliant!) and it helps us out with our records.
    • Choose a tile/specific ministry area/designated fund that speaks to you or use the General Offering option!
  • Check
    • Make checks out to East Lake United Methodist Church.
    • Include a designated fund in the memo line if you’d like to specify an area of ministry that speaks to you.
  • Cash
    • Include a designated fund on a cash envelope if you’d like to specify an area of ministry that speaks to you.
  • Sunday Mornings – Place a check or cash in the offering plates/baskets at either worship service
  • Church Office – Drop off a check or cash in the church office anytime Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm
  • Mail – Mail a check to East Lake United Methodist Church
    • 7753 1st Avenue South, Birmingham, AL 35206
  • Fundraisers – Keep an eye out for fundraisers you can participate in! Past Fundraisers have included the Fall Arts and Crafts Bazaar, a pecan sale, our annual Golf Tournament, and more. Designated Funds

When donating to East Lake UMC, you may like to specify which area of ministry speaks to you. You can read more about these funds and give to them online through our Vanco page. You can also name which fund you’re supporting on the memo line of your check or on a cash envelope.

    • Feeding Our Friends Fund – supports food access programs in our church and community like snack bag distribution,Food Co-op program, Lunch With Our Neighbors, and more
    • Calloway/Nichols/Good Fund for Children – supports our youth and children’s ministries
    • Hope Initiative – maintains and revitalizes our majestic and historic building
    • Gibby Fund for Landscaping – maintains our beautiful grounds and flower beds so that our outdoor area is welcoming to neighbors
    • Love of Learning Fund – supports our small groups and provides the resources/books they need so that all can participate, no matter their financial situation
    • Senior Adult Fund – supports our senior adult ministries
